The Complete Normandy Experience: 3-Day Tour

The essential D-Day sites, plus the medieval splendour of Mont-Saint-Michel.

Home / Tours / The Complete Normandy Experience (3 Day)

Discover the remarkable history and beauty of Normandy during a three-day journey based in the medieval town of Bayeux.

The first two days explore the principal American, British and Canadian battlefields of D-Day. Follow the airborne landings behind Utah Beach, stand on the sands of Omaha, walk among the surviving German guns at Longues-sur-Mer and discover the stories of Gold Beach, Juno Beach and Pegasus Bridge.

On the third day, travel beyond the battlefields to Mont-Saint-Michel, one of France's most spectacular historic landmarks, and explore the medieval island village and its ancient abbey.

Day 1: American Airborne & Omaha Beach

Begin at Sainte-Mère-Église, one of the first towns liberated during the invasion, before travelling through the landing grounds of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions and following the story of Easy Company. The afternoon moves toward Pointe du Hoc and concludes at Omaha Beach and the Normandy American Cemetery.

  • Sainte-Mère-Église and the American airborne landing grounds
  • Easy Company and Band of Brothers locations at Brécourt Manor
  • Pointe du Hoc
  • Omaha Beach and the Normandy American Cemetery
Return to Bayeux: approx. 5:00 PM

Day 2: Gold Beach, Juno Beach & Pegasus Bridge

Begin at the German artillery battery at Longues-sur-Mer, continue to Gold Beach and Arromanches-les-Bains, then enter the Canadian sector at Juno Beach before concluding at Pegasus Bridge, captured during a daring glider assault in the opening minutes of June 6.

  • Longues-sur-Mer German artillery battery
  • Gold Beach and Arromanches-les-Bains, with the Mulberry Harbour remains
  • Juno Beach and the Canadian D-Day landing sector
  • Pegasus Bridge and the story of the glider assault
Return to Bayeux: approx. 5:00 PM

  • Scenic journey through western Normandy
  • Mont-Saint-Michel tidal bay and medieval island village
