Day Tour

Beaumont-Hamel, Courcelette, and the Battle of Amiens 1918.
Home / Tours / The Somme Front
Explore the preserved battlefield of the Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and walk through original trenches and No Man's Land. Later, as we venture off the beaten path, we see what is left of Canada's bloodiest battlefield of Courcelette, where more than 24,000 Canadians were killed or wounded in 1916.
In the afternoon, visit the Amiens battlefield where the Canadian Corps spearheaded the offensive that would become the blackest day for the German army — marking the beginning of the end of the First World War.
