The Ultimate — 3 Day Canadian Tour combines our three day tours to take you into the complete footsteps of Canadian troops on the frontlines of the First World War. From the 1915 gas attacks, to the brutal Somme, up to Vimy Ridge and onto the victories of 1918, where Canadians fought as shock troops to bring the war to an end.

All tours run from the old town of Arras. We can recommend accommodation in 3+ star hotels or guest houses our clients have happily stayed at. Pick-up/drop-off is at your accommodation in Arras or at Arras Train Station.

Day 1 — In Flanders Fields

  • Christmas Truce site at Ploegsteert Wood, Mount Sorrel & Hill 62
  • Passchendaele battlefield, Crest Farm Memorial & Tyne Cot Cemetery
  • Essex Farm and the Menin Gate Last Post Ceremony
Departure: Arras — 9:00 AMReturn: Arras — approx. 9:30 PM

Day 2 — Vimy to Victory

  • Frontline trenches, tunnels & mine craters on Vimy Ridge
  • Canadian National Vimy Memorial
  • Hill 70, Monchy-le-Preux & the Drocourt-Quéant Line

Day 3 — The Somme Front

  • Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial & original trenches
  • Courcelette battlefield and Thiepval Memorial to the Missing
  • Battle of Amiens 1918 Canadian battlefield

The above itinerary may be varied based on the wishes and consensus of the guests travelling on any particular day. Customised tours are available for this area on request.
